The Wedding Gala

This past Saturday, I had the privilege to participate in the first annual Wedding Gala.  A sold out crowd, I know a few of you wanted to attend but could not.  I promised I would post a few pics of my favs.  I’ve never been to Paris (would love to one day).  But the set up at the Gala was as close as it gets here in GP.  As I was taking the shots I noticed all the ladies lined up in front, whispering in each others ears as the dresses came on the runway.  Castaspella had a dress to fit everyones personal style.  My personal favorites were the funky ones … lost of fun hats, head pieces, gloves and original dresses.  Complimented by the handsome models from Milano for Men!

Then as they were coming down the isle I was awed by the incredible bouquets from Marcy’s.  I have some girlfriends in Victoria that are wedding photographers as well.  I have always admired the bouquets their brides choose.  I think Marcy’s is artistically creating equivalent bouquets right her in Grande Prairie.

Hats off to everyone who participated to make this event a success.

My absolute favorite wedding gown for the evening!

One of many cakes from The Cakery Cafe.

Decorating in a sea of white my Affordable Elegance!

Pierce & Jennifer

Loved the red accents Jennifer wore for her baby bump pics.

Happy sneak peak!

Crystal

Pregnancy sessions are so fun and amazing to begin with.  This one more so with the addition of Crystal’s daughter and her little white tutu.

Enjoy!

The Wedding Gala

For any brides out there that haven’t had a chance to come into the studio, you can come by my table at The Wedding Gala at the Grande Prairie Inn tonight.  I was in getting set up and it is looking beautiful, it is sure to be a fun night out with your bridesmaids.

See you there!

Photography Symposium

Every time I run into another photographer they say I saw bla bla bla on your blog.  So I know they stop in to see what is going on at Pure Photography.  And I’m glad they do, because this message is for them.  Not just professional photographers, any amateurs as well.

An active member of the Professional Photographers of Canada, I sit on their board, and whole heartdly support their education initiatives.  Coming up this February is EXPOSURE Photography Symposium.  The skinny … four days and four amazing speakers from Canada and the US.  If that isn’t enough a photo competition and the chance to mingle with other photographers committed to education as much as you are.

If you have any questions, even if you want to go but don’t know anyone.  I’m there, I’d be happy to introduce you to others and be that familiar face.

If you are a member it is $199 (that even includes lunches), non-members $299 (you even get lunches too).  No where else can you see four great speakers for that price.  A great opportunity is an understatement.

Go to idea-market.org or contact PPOC-Alberta at 780-678-0422 for more information.

Desire

Desire brought in some cute little booties they purchased for their guy.  The image makes me imagine some teeny tiny feet that fit inside those teen tiny shoes.  Pregnancy in general is just so remarkable.

Doug & Karen

This is the third child for Doug and Karen and the third time I had the privilege of photographing them with their newest baby.  I am so happy for you all and wish you all the best!

Congrats,

Good heavens this little girl is cute as a bug.  Thank you aunty and mom for making the trip from Peace River.  Hope you enjoy!

The Dodmans

Mom, Sharon said she didn’t want your typical photos.  So we got the family striking a pose for me in the studio.  Enjoy!
